The support systems are designed to ensure stable boring bar guidance, efficient coolant circulation, and reliable chip removal throughout the machining process. These systems improve machining accuracy, extend tool life, and maintain consistent performance during continuous operation.
6. Drilling & Boring Bar Bracket
The drilling and boring bar bracket provides additional support for the drilling and boring bar during machining. It travels along the machine bed guideways and is driven by a chain transmission system to maintain accurate alignment and reduce vibration.
Different support sleeves can be installed according to the diameter of the drilling or boring bar, ensuring optimum rigidity and machining stability for various applications.
7. Cooling System
The cooling system is positioned behind the machine and consists of an oil tank, pump station, piping system, and chip collection unit. It performs two essential functions: cooling the cutting area and transporting chips away from the machining zone.
During boring operations, coolant is delivered through the oil feeder directly to the cutting area and returns together with the chips to the chip hopper before being filtered and recirculated to the oil tank.
During drilling operations, coolant flows through the oil feeder into the cutting zone, while chips are discharged through the inside of the drilling bar and collected by the chip handling system. The filtered coolant is continuously recycled, providing efficient cooling, effective chip evacuation, and reduced coolant consumption.
Any residual coolant returning to the machine bed is collected and routed back to the oil tank, maintaining a clean working environment and ensuring continuous coolant circulation throughout the machining process.
