It is a highly efficient automatic band saw with multiple material feed. The bandsaw is designed for performance cutting of very hard and tough materials. This machine uses an extremely robust construction optimized to achieve maximum rigidity and minimum vibration, guaranteeing outstanding cutting power and precision.
The stroke of the frame and feeder is realized by precision ball screws. The machine is designed for vertical cuts and is suitable for serial production in industrial environments. It is intended for cutting steel materials as well as non-ferrous and light metals. Cutting of other materials is only permitted with manufacturer approval.
The FCV (Feeder – Cut – Main Vice) concept allows fully automatic cutting with minimal end waste, eliminating the need for additional semi-automatic cutting cycles.
Control System
The machine is equipped with a programmable PLC SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-1200. Drive of the band blade, arm movement and feeder movement are fully controlled by SIEMENS technology.
A colored touch screen SIEMENS TP 700 COMFORT enables intuitive communication with the operator and displays blade speed, cutting parameters and machine movements in real time.
- Semiautomatic cycle: Immediate cutting with manual feeder positioning using buttons or GTO function.
- Automatic cycle: Fully programmable cutting with thousands of programs and multi-length feeding.
The ATB (Automatic Transport of Bar) system transports new material directly to the cutting zone, eliminating face cutting and significantly reducing cycle time and operating costs.
Cutting feed rate is regulated by a servo motor, ball screw and KM nut, ensuring extremely precise feed control. Two automatic system regulation modes are available:
- RZP: Zone regulation with five adjustable cutting zones.
- ARP: Automatic feed regulation depending on cutting resistance (BIMETAL and CARBIDE modes).
The KKR system continuously monitors cut perpendicularity and automatically adjusts the cutting feed to maintain optimal blade alignment.
Construction
The band saw is engineered for maximum utilization of carbide band blades and extreme industrial loads. All structural components are optimized to minimize vibration and maximize cutting performance.
The frame moves along three linear guide rails with six ball carts, driven by a precision ball screw, servo drive and worm gear. Cast iron pulleys ensure high stability and long service life.
The main vice is a robust steel weldment equipped with carbide grooved jaws, ensuring secure clamping even for deformed or crooked materials. Hydraulic pressure regulation provides optimal holding force.
The feeder system is driven by servo motors and linear guides, allowing residue-free feeding. Optical sensors detect material presence and automatically stop feeding when no bar is detected.
Hydraulic blade tensioning guarantees ideal cutting conditions at all times. Correct blade tension is continuously monitored and displayed on the HMI.
Cooling & Safety
The cooling system supplies cutting emulsion directly to the cutting zone via flexible LocLine hoses. Full protective covers prevent chips and coolant from escaping, ensuring maximum operator safety.
The machine operates with 24 V control voltage and is equipped with a complete hydraulic system controlling vices, blade guides and cutting pressure.
Standard Equipment
- Complete protective body enclosure
- Polymer-concrete filled arm and column cavities for vibration damping
- Screw-type chip extractor (centerless)
- Working area lighting
- Band saw blade
- Set of service spanners
- Electronic user manual (CD)
Operating Cycle
After starting the machine, the vices automatically clamp the material. Cutting is performed at the programmed speed, after which the arm lifts to the preset upper position.
Material feeding is executed in periodic or gradual mode. The operator only loads new material and removes cut pieces, while blade speed and cutting speed can be adjusted during operation.
