Gravitational band saw machine.
Working movement of the arm is caused by the weight of the arm itself, speed is regulated by a hydraulic cylinder. The machine is designed for cutting material in vertical and angle cuts. Angle cuts can be set fluently from 0° to 60° to the right and from 0° to 45° to the left using a quick clamping handle. It is suitable for piece production and small series production. Thanks to its robust construction, it enables cutting a wide range of materials including stainless steels, tool steels, profiles and solid materials.

Construction

• All carrying parts are made as cast-iron castings for strength, vibration absorption and shock resistance.
• Arm, vice and turn table are made of cast iron.
• The arm is inclined by 25°, increasing blade lifetime.
• Down working position of the arm is controlled by cam and microswitches.
• The arm stops automatically at the lower position and is lifted manually by the operator.
• Cast iron vice with jaws ensuring secure clamping of the material.
• Vice is placed in an adjustable dovetail groove.
• Moving jaw is manually operated with wheel and trapeze thread.
• Speedy jaw adjustment using lever, spring and trapeze half-nut.
• Vice base moves according to angle cut setting and is fixed by handle.
• Cast iron turn table providing stable material support.
• Manual table rotation for angle cuts with quick fixation handle.
• Auto-arresting turntable every 15° using spring groove.
• Fine angle adjustment via nonius scale.

Operating cycle

Manually controlled quick clamping vice. Cutting speed is regulated by a hydraulic damper and restrictor choke valve. After finishing the cut, the machine stops automatically and the operator lifts the arm manually to the start position. Feeding of material is manual.
