Our machine is available in 110V and 220V single-phase versions because a 3-phase power supply is simply not required to achieve maximum cleaning performance.
The machine is powered by a 2.2 kW high-performance DeWalt drive unit, capable of operating at speeds of up to 6,600 RPM. During heavy-duty slag removal, the operating speed naturally decreases. As the RPM drops, the drive system delivers substantially higher torque to the cutting blades. This allows the machine to convert high rotational speed into the low-speed, high-torque output required for industrial slat cleaning. Thanks to its 2.2 kW high-performance drive, 6,600 RPM operating capability, optimized transmission system, and high torque at lower working speeds, our Slat Cleaner maintains exceptional cleaning performance even under the heaviest slag conditions.
Many people focus only on the motor's rated power, but slat cleaning performance depends on the torque delivered to the blades, not simply on whether the power supply is single-phase or three-phase. The available torque is determined by the complete drive system, including the motor characteristics, gear reduction, and transmission design.
Another key advantage is our blade geometry. Our blades are mounted in the reverse cutting direction, creating a self-feeding action. Instead of requiring the operator to push the machine through the slats, the cutter naturally pulls itself forward. Therefore, the operator only needs to guide the machine at the guide point, without applying significant feeding force.
This unique combination of a high-torque drive system and our reverse-cutting self-feeding blade design enables the machine to remove heavy slag even from 30 kW fiber laser cutting machines, while operating reliably on a 110V or 220V single-phase power supply.
Therefore, for our machine, changing to a 3-phase power supply would not provide any meaningful increase in cleaning performance. It would only increase installation requirements and cost. The outstanding performance of our Slat Cleaner comes from its high-torque engineering, optimized transmission system, and unique blade geometry—not from the type of electrical supply.
