Our LIVA OEM-TR cylinder machines are used in the bending process of medium and heavy plates, aluminum, and stainless steel materials, thanks to their strong welded steel body, hydraulic movement of the lower and side rolls, and a planetary reducer drive connected to the main motor, providing high bending accuracy, excellent repeatability, smooth operation, outstanding reliability, and long service life for demanding industrial plate forming applications.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The first-class hydraulic system is designed to perform all machine movements smoothly and precisely. The hydraulic tank is isolated from the external environment to keep the hydraulic oil clean. Since the system operates in a closed environment, an electric oil level switch is used to monitor the oil level. The return filter helps keep the hydraulic oil clean.

The hydraulic system is designed to minimize pressure loss, facilitate easy maintenance, and provide the best possible sealing performance. The hydraulic protection system prevents overload conditions, maintains hydraulic pressure at a safe level, and ensures safe operation.

CONTROL SYSTEMS

LIVA control systems provide an excellent user experience with advanced control software developed by our engineering team. The control systems stand out for their ease of use, reliability, and versatile features.

LIVA NC (Numerical Control)

LIVA NC is a numerical control system developed by our engineering team. It can be programmed using two different methods. Once the first bending operation is recorded, hundreds of identical workpieces can be produced using the stored program. When the program is started, the machine automatically positions the material at the reference point and waits for the operator to start the bending process.

The system records the manual bending sequence performed by the operator, storing each step in memory. It then automatically repeats the recorded sequence for subsequent workpieces, ensuring fast, accurate, and repeatable production. One of the main advantages of this system is that the recorded bending steps can be easily edited and updated whenever required.

OIL COOLING SYSTEM

The oil cooling system is recommended for machine operation in hot climate conditions. It helps maintain the optimum hydraulic oil temperature, ensuring stable performance, improved efficiency, and extended component life.

DRIVEN FEEDING TABLE

The plates to be bent should be fed into the machine along a straight axis parallel to the ground. The driven feeding table assists in feeding the material into the machine while maintaining the required alignment and parallelism.

The required number of feeding tables can be added, and the desired table configuration can be created to form a complete driven feeding line.

VARIABLE SPEED OF ROTATION

The variable roll rotation speed gives the operator greater control throughout each stage of the bending process. The rotation speed can be easily adjusted using the potentiometer on the control panel. This allows the operator to achieve the required level of control for accurate and consistent bending results.

OPTIONAL FEATURES

ELEVATOR (CENTRAL SUPPORT)

When bending thin plates with large diameters, the material may sag under its own weight as it reaches the top position, causing distortion of the bending diameter.

To prevent this deformation, an elevator (central support) is recommended as an optional feature. Mounted on the machine and operated by a hydraulic cylinder, the elevator supports the bent plate throughout the bending process. The central support is specifically designed to provide stable support for the sheet, ensuring improved bending accuracy.

SIDE SUPPORTS

When bending thin plates with large diameters, the material may sag under its own weight after the pre-bending process, causing distortion of the bending diameter.

The side supports, mounted on both sides of the machine and operated by hydraulic cylinders, support the plate throughout the bending process, ensuring improved bending accuracy and stability.

PACKAGING AND SHIPPING

During shipment, the machine is securely wrapped with suitable protective materials and prepared for transportation. The shafts are protected against corrosion with special lubricants.

The machine is secured to the truck chassis using designated mounting points and chain tensioners to ensure safe transportation.

Machines of certain sizes are packed in wooden crates in accordance with ISPM 15 standards whenever required to prevent damage during transportation.

All shipments are carried out in compliance with international transportation and logistics requirements.

MAINTENANCE

Thanks to the long-lasting and maintenance-free components used in the machine, maintenance costs are minimized by reducing maintenance time and preventing premature wear.

SAFETY

In the event of an emergency during the bending process, the machine is equipped with safety devices that allow the operator to stop the machine immediately. These include an emergency stop button on the control panel and safety ropes located around the machine. In addition, electrical and hydraulic safety measures are implemented to protect the machine against overload conditions.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The first-class and reliable electrical system is designed to perform all machine movements smoothly and precisely. The power and control circuits are separated from each other to ensure safe and reliable operation.

The electrical control panel is isolated from the external environment to protect the electrical components. Cable entries are sealed using suitable cable glands. Protection measures are implemented to safeguard the system against overload conditions.

TWO SPEED

This feature provides two bending speeds: slow and fast. These speeds can be selected via the control panel.

The low-speed mode is specifically designed to achieve more accurate pre-bending by positioning the material between the upper and lower rolls.

DIGITAL DISPLAY

LIVA OEM-TR 4R models are equipped with a digital display as standard for diameters up to Ø250.

The current and maximum position values of the right and left rolls are displayed on the standard digital display. The upper movement limits of the side rolls can also be adjusted via the display. This ensures that the side rolls do not exceed their maximum travel limits.

CONTROL PANEL

Thanks to the movable control panel, the bending process can be controlled from any side of the machine. In addition, the number and functions of the control buttons may vary depending on the selected optional features.

CONICAL BENDING

The conical bending process is performed using the special conical bending attachment mounted on the machine. The parallelism and conicity of the rolls can be easily controlled from the control panel.

Conical bending is one of the most demanding operations in the bending process. Therefore, the operator performing this operation should have the necessary experience.

ATTENTION:

Depending on the cone angle, the conical bending capacity may be reduced to approximately 50% of the normal bending capacity.

NOTE:

After the conical bending process, the final shape may not always be perfectly cylindrical. To minimize deformation, the side rolls are aligned, and the upper and side rolls are rotated and calibrated accordingly.

DRIVE SYSTEM

The lower and upper central rolls are equipped with hydraulic motors and planetary reducers that provide high bending torque. The planetary reducer is directly connected to the spindle shaft, ensuring efficient torque transmission to the material with minimal power loss.

The drive system is also equipped with a hydraulic brake that prevents the plate from slipping during the pre-bending process.

PARALLELITY OF THE SHAFT

Parallelism control is provided by torsion shafts (torsion bars) operating with an advanced hydraulic system.

Thanks to this system, the parallelism of the rolls is maintained automatically without requiring readjustment or maintenance.

BEARING OF THE SHAFT

All shafts are supported by spherical roller bearings. Spherical roller bearings are designed to carry heavy loads. Due to their self-aligning design, these bearings accommodate the conical movements of the rolls.

They operate with high precision even under demanding working conditions and provide a long service life.

The use of spherical roller bearings reduces friction. In addition, lower friction allows more power to be transferred to the plate, resulting in more efficient bending performance.

ROLLS

In LIVA OEM-TR 4R models, 50–55 HRC surface hardness is achieved on the rolls through induction hardening. The rolls, manufactured from Ck45 steel in accordance with DIN standards, are polished after the hardening process.

During the bending process, the rolls are subjected to heavy loads that may cause deflection. To prevent this, the rolls are manufactured with specially designed conical profiles. These profiles are precisely machined according to the machine's bending capacity.

BODY STRUCTURE

The bodies of LIVA cylinder bending machines are designed using FEM analysis to achieve a strong and robust structure. They are manufactured from high-quality St-52 welded steel. Thus, the stresses generated during the bending process are minimized, ensuring safer operation and a longer service life.

The loads generated on the machine body during bending are reduced by transferring them to the bearing pins integrated into the body. The body plates carrying these loads are made of high-quality St-52 welded steel. In addition, reinforced support plates are used to increase the contact area of the bearing pins. This prevents wear in the pin holes and improves the movement precision of the rolls.

STANDARD FEATURES

ORBITAL MOTION SYSTEM

In LIVA's 4-roll cylinder bending machines, the orbital motion system is used, which allows for pre-bending with less force and more efficiency.

With this bending method, the side rolls approach the upper roll at a wider angle. In this way, less power is spent for the same length of unbent flat ends, thus saving energy. The orbital motion system also provides a more robust body structure. At the same time, this motion system allows for conical bending, allowing the bent material to be easily removed from the machine.

Repeatability, Productivity and Ease of Use
