Behringer BTS 460 NC Tube Cutting Saw (BTS 460 NC)

The BTS 460 NC is a carbide circular saw specially designed for sawing curved tubes such as mufflers, hydroforming or exhaust pipes. Standardised mounts and their flat material table enable individual workpiece fixtures to be accepted. The saw entry and exit point can be freely adjusted accordingly. The standard two-hand operation allows comfortable and safe working without disturbing mechanical guards.

The heart of the BTS 460 NC is the high-performance sawing unit from the HCS series and powerful servo axes for saw feed and material clamping. This overall concept offers a powerful and low-vibration sawing process, which ensures a good cutting surface, long saw blade life and a long service life of the saw.

• Servo-driven workpiece clamping
  guarantees process-reliable and repeatable clamping of materials of any shape and wall thickness. Clamping force and clamping travel can be optimally adjusted for each fixture by means of the servo axis.

• Identification of the fixture via RFID (option)
  A quick change of the fixture is guaranteed by the use of RFID technology. The tube cutting saw automatically recognises the fixture used and sets all the parameters of the saw automatically.

• Mounting for part-specific fixtures
  The material table is flat. Part-specific fixtures can be installed and exchanged quickly and easily on this table. In combination with these, a safe sawing process from simple to complex geometries can be guaranteed.

• Two-hand operation
  The standard two-hand operation allows comfortable and safe working without disturbing mechanical guards.

• Micro spray system
  When sawing profiles, pipes and solid material, the standard minimum quantity lubrication system delivers the best results. The saw blade is constantly moistened with cutting oil via a nozzle. This guarantees a long tool life and a clean working environment.

• Sturdy machine base
  The heavy machine stand and the vibration-damping cast iron components made by Behringer ensure a low-vibration sawing process and thus an increase in tool life.

• Stable, low-vibration gearbox
  The heart of the saw unit is the backlash-free pretensioned worm gear drive from our own production. It ensures low-vibration running of the saw blade and saw spindle, which has a positive influence on the cutting surface and service life.
